Practice & reflection

Make room for attention.

Simple foundations for reading and reflection. A comfortable seat, ordinary breathing, and a place to record what you notice.

Keep it comfortable. This is educational material, not medical or mental-health advice. Stop if an activity brings pain, faintness, chest pressure, panic or disorientation. Read the full safety guidance.

01 · Settle into a comfortable position

Choose a seat that supports you. A chair is fine. There is no need to hold an unfamiliar posture or stay still through discomfort.

02 · Leave your breath natural

Let breathing continue at its ordinary pace. You can simply notice it, or keep your attention on the room around you. This page does not ask you to deepen, count, force or retain the breath.

03 · Read a little, reflect a little

Choose a short passage. Notice its vocabulary. Separate what it says from the associations it brings to your mind. If a question is unclear, record the question without rushing to settle it.

Practices that need a teacher

Intensive breath ratios, retention, bandhas, forceful breathing, kuṇḍalinī methods and advanced internal alchemy are outside the guided scope of this site. Study their historical context with care and seek appropriately qualified supervision for practice.
